Photography

“A picture is worth a thousand words” is an English idiom. It refers to the notion that a complex idea can be conveyed with just a single still image or that an image of a subject conveys its meaning or essence more effectively than a description does.

And what makes a picture powerful lies completely in the eyes of the beholder. It is subjective, not objective. It is personal, based almost entirely on the experience of the viewer.

Adrian Waine is an Industrial Photographer based in the Northwest of England. His commissions can be from anywhere within industry. Process plant and factories are common place – metals and engineering are regular subjects. The aim is to create striking images whatever the conditions – dirty, hostile or dangerous.

Understanding your prospective market place is key to creating the right shots. A pre-shoot plan will involve a discussion about who the images are to be aimed at, ways of generating the biggest impression and how best to achieve this with a team effort.

Adrian has also won photographic awards 2 years running and he has been involved in the photography for the new Fox Graphics Design & Marketing website. He also knows his stuff and goes into the detail required, especially the preparation beforehand to ensure the client is able to not only achieve the initial brief but extra added value as he is great at ensuring extra ideas and options are thought through and executed.
